Substance Use Treatment
Third Way Center has a comprehensive Substance Use treatment program specific to the needs of each of our facilities. At any given time, approximately one-third of our residents are enrolled in the Program. Through proven evidence-based methods, our treatment team works collaboratively with the kids and their families who struggle with substance use issues. Our methodology for the Substance Use Treatment Program is simple: we treat each adolescent individually, working to address deep-rooted trauma while aiming to restore a sense of trust, safety, and power. We help residents discover their own version of justice and encourage them to act upon it. Doing so initiates the process of physical and mental recovery, helping them move forward with their lives.
Third Way Center understands that youth struggling with substance use problems each have their own individual experiences. We conduct comprehensive evaluations of each of our residents to determine the most suitable individualized treatment program for them, enabling us to provide the most effective course of therapy and, consequently, the best chance of rehabilitation. While other youth treatment programs might focus mostly on changing the youths’ behaviors, Third Way Center focuses on identifying specific trauma(s) that teens and young adults have endured in order to help them address the underlying causes contributing to their substance use-related issues. Through trauma resolution, our clients learn to develop new, more constructive behavioral patterns.
