Psychiatric Residential
Treatment Facilities (PRTF)

Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities are specialized facilities that provide intensive inpatient psychiatric care to children and adolescents with severe mental health needs, offering 24-hour supervision and treatment in a non-hospital setting, typically requiring a high level of structure and therapy to manage their conditions. A majority of the kids we treat start at our PRTF program, located at the Lowry campus. The program is a staff-secure campus, where their course of treatment is determined, and they work with our medical staff to identify the medications that will work best for them.

Safe Homes. Individualized Healing.

Third Way Center has four coed houses at the Lowry Campus that hold a total of 34 adolescents. Our staff offer the kids comprehensive, around-the-clock assistance and ensure that their treatment is youth-centered and family-driven to ensure the plan is specific to what the resident and youth need.
