Mentorship

Positive adult role models
make an enormous impact

***Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we are not currently welcoming in-person mentors, though we may have virtual or non-contact options for you. Please sign up for our newsletter to learn about all upcoming opportunities.***

Mentors offer guidance and stability during times of both crisis and success.  The mentorship program focuses on helping our youth develop a moral compass and smart decision-making skills. These invaluable skills have been proven to help navigate through the ups and downs of life.

In order to foster meaningful and productive one-on-one relationships between adult role models and our youth, we ask that our mentors be able to devote at least one hour every week to their mentee. The role of the mentor is dependent on the needs of the mentee. For example, activities and outings arranged by the mentor, mentee, and house treatment staff may consist of grabbing a bite to eat, seeing a movie, trips to the grocery store or mall, tutoring sessions, career advice sessions, and much more.

If you are interested in becoming a mentor, please complete the Mentor Questionnaire below. A member of our Development Department will follow up via email to schedule an interview.

For questions, call 303-780-9191 ext. 416

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
  • Capable of committing to meeting weekly with their mentee
  • Successful completion of an initial interview
  • Extensive background check including the Diana Screen

We do require that applicants be able to commit to a weekly meeting with their mentee. We understand that this is a large commitment of time for those who wish to make a difference in the life of a teen, which is why we offer a variety of volunteer opportunities.
