In-Kind Donations
Your in-kind donation can make a real difference in the lives of our clients!
From school supplies, to new bedding, to furniture for a teen’s first apartment, in-kind donations can make an immediate impact for the teens we serve. Click on the images below to learn more about what items we accept.

Help a teen furnish their first apartment
For over 50 years, Third Way Center has helped thousands of teens overcome past trauma and provided them with the tools they need to live successfully in their communities.
When our youth emancipate and move into their own apartments, they own very little — mostly just some clothing and a few personal items. We help ease the transition by providing youth with donated household items and furniture.
Our youth are typically moving into small studios or one-bedroom apartments, so very large items usually won’t be a good fit.
Our teens can use:
- New full mattresses
- Small to medium dressers
- Bookshelves
- Nightstands
- Kitchen tables and chairs
- Small couches
- Armchairs
- Lamps

Provide new bedding and towels for a client
For the price of a pair of concert tickets, you could provide new bedding and towels for a client. For many of our teens, this will be the first set of new sheets they’ve ever had.
Upon admission, all of our clients are given a brand new set of sheets, a new comforter, a new pillow, and their own towel. Having clean, comfortable bedding and linens helps them to feel welcome and provides a sense of belonging.
We have several items pre-selected on our Amazon wish list, but we accept any new bedding that fits our twin beds. We also accept some full and queen bedding for our Next Steps program, depending on our current needs.

Purchase hygiene and cleaning supplies
Just like all of us, our clients have an ongoing need for hygiene and cleaning supplies. A donation of these items can help our teens feel confident and cared for.
As part of our life skills and emancipation programs, clients who live at our Lincoln Street residences are responsible for cleaning their individual apartments and shared spaces. Donations of supplies can help them in their journey to self-care and prepare them for living on their own.
Purchase pre-selected items from our Amazon wish list, or arrange to drop off items at our administrative offices.
We are always in need of the following items:
- Deodorant
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Body wash
- Bath and kitchen scrub
- Sponges
- Antibacterial wipes

Participate in our Holiday Hope gift drive
