Household Goods and Furniture
For nearly 50 years, Third Way Center has helped thousands of teens overcome past trauma so that they may live successfully in their communities. In order to provide our residents with a positive living environment, we aim to periodically replace furniture and household items that have become dilapidated.
When our youth emancipate into their own apartments, they own very little — mostly just their clothing and a few personal items. We help ease the transition by providing youth with donated household items and furniture. Please remember that our youth are typically moving into small studios or one-bedroom apartments.
Due to a lack of space and transportation resources, we are only able to accept items that can be delivered by the donor and immediately placed in one of our facilities.
Because of this restriction, we have developed a partnership with the ARC Thrift Store. You can contact the ARC for a pickup and inform them you are donating on behalf of Third Way Center. To schedule a pickup of your donated goods please visit the Arc Thrift Stores website. Third Way Center will receive vouchers that our youth can use when they need items.
